Nettle growing in the Nordics is particularly rich in nutrients as it grows from the cleanest soil in the world gathering its strength from the midnight sun. Our nettle leaf soaked, is perfect in pies, pestos, pancakes, stews and soups and as as such it can be used in smoothies, as a seasoning or herbal tea.
Nettle contains vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and chlorophyll. The taste of nettle is rich with flavour and it brings exciting tones to cooking and seasoning, similar to many other Finnish native herbs and vegetables. One tablespoon of dried herbs equals one large handful of fresh plant, which is a super good daily dose of vitamins and other good stuff.
